Anti-phenolic yellowing agent
Use: Anti-phenolic yellowing (BHT) agent.
Appearance: Yellow transparent liquid.
Ionicity: Anion
PH Value: 5-7 (10g/l solution)
Appearance of aqueous solution: Transparent
Compatibility
Compatible with anionic and non-ionic products and dyestuffs; incompatible with cationic
products.
Storage stability
At room temperature for 12 months; avoid frost and overheating; keep the container closed
after each sample.

Performance
Anti-phenolic yellowing agent can be used for various nylon and blended fabrics containing
elastic fibers to prevent yellowing caused by BHT (2, 6-Dibutyl-hydroxy-toluene). BHT is often used
as an antioxidant when making plastic bags, and white or light-colored clothes are very likely to turn
yellow when they are placed in such bags.
In addition, because it is neutral, even if the dosage is high, the pH of the treated fabric can be
guaranteed to be between 5-7.

Solution preparation
Anti-phenolic yellowing agent can be directly added to the application bath and is also suitable
for automatic dosing systems.

Usage
Anti-phenolic yellowing agent is suitable for padding and exhaustion; this product can be used
in the same bath with dyestuff or with a brightener.

Dosage
Dosage can be decided according to the specific process and equipment. Here are some
sample recipes:
⚫ Anti-yellowing finishing
➢ Padding method
✓ 20 – 60 g / l Anti-phenolic yellowing agent.
✓ Padding at room temperature: Drying at 120℃ -190 ℃ (according to the type of
fabric)
➢ Exhaustion method
✓ 2 – 6% (o.w.f.) Anti-phenolic yellowing agent.
✓ Bath ratio 1: 5 – 1:20; 30-40 ° C × 20-30 minutes. dehydration; drying at 120 ℃-190 ℃
(depending on fabric type).
⚫ Anti-yellowing finishing in the same bath with dyeing
➢ X% leveling agent.
➢ 2-4% (o.w.f) Anti-phenolic yellowing agent.
➢ Y% acid dyes.
➢ 0.5-1g / l acid releasing agent.
➢ 98-110 ℃ × 20-40 minutes, wash in warm water, cold water.
⚫ Anti-yellowing finishing in the same bath with whitening agent
➢ 2-6% (o.w.f) Anti-phenolic yellowing agent.
➢ X% brightener.
➢ If necessary, add acetic acid to adjust pH 4-5; 98-110 ℃ × 20-40 minutes; wash in warm
water and cold water.
